You might not have heard about the new additions we have welcomed to the board of directors over the last few months to further strengthen Southend BID for the years to come.
Our first new addition came earlier this summer in the form of Garry Lowen. Garry is the joint owner of the Gleneagles Guesthouse on Clifftown Parade and has been a Friend of the BID since 2013. Garry’s significant experience with organisations, businesses and events in the town made him an clear choice that would add to the BIDs knowledge and expertise.
Our most recent addition to the Southend BID family is George Bejko-Cowlbeck hailing from the unique Caddies, a business which combines crazy golf, a full service restaurant and a cocktail bar in its venue on London Road. George has a great passion for the town and an entrepreneurial spirit that will keep Southend BID open to new opportunities.
On top of their extensive skill sets, our new directors enable us to add the experience and views of businesses from the leisure and accommodation sectors to the existing knowledge of those from retail and hospitality.
We also have the benefit of having a Southend BID committee filled with members from retail, hospitality, fitness and education who sit alongside our board and representatives from the police, council and community safety. Having a range of sectors represented ensures the committee continues to work towards better serving our levy payers to manage, motivate and market our town centre and seafront.
If you’re a BID levy paying business then find out more by visiting www.SouthendBID.com and get in touch with us at hello@SouthendBID.com if you’d like to catch up.
