Join us for a full day celebrating the diverse community and culture in the city of Southend. Check out what on throughout the day:
Market: 9am-7pm
Kick off the day with our artisan market located near the railway bridge. Live music, art, clothing and lots more to pick up as treats or gifts. Have a go on some of the rides whilst here or head up the High Street to browse more from the general and food market.
Busking Bus: 11am-4pm
Next stop you can watch an array of performances from local talent. See acoustic acts, bands and magicians showcase their skills in our busking bus outside Llyods bank.
Come as Yourself, Leave as an Elf: 11am-5pm
get crafty and join the trail to transform into one of Santa's helpers by visiting select businesses in the city. When you've visited all the elfie stations head to TheIronworks for the prize of meeting Father Christmas!
Main Stage: 12pm-6pm
Hosted by BBC Essex our main stage will be back in Victoria Circus with an eclectic celebration of the cultures and communities in our city. Soak in the excitement of vibrant steel drums from the South Essex African Caribbean Association, Flamenco dancers from the Spanish community, choirs, bands, and an amazing festive sing a long with the Music Man project. Don't miss the lights switch on at 6pm!
Christmas Character Trail
Families can take part in an augmented reality treasure hunt to find presents and reveal some Christmas imps on their mobile phone. Free to take part and running from the 19th November - 31st December.
Art Trail
20 venues across the city will be displaying works from local artists from 19th November - 5th January with the theme of 'Our Community'.
Fireworks Finale: 7.30pm
To finish off the day make your way to the seafront for this year's fireworks finale, ending the day's celebrations with a bang.
